PlatformPlay, second entrepreneurial venture of Rammohan Sundaram has acquired the monetization rights for Captcha advertising platform, NLPCaptcha. PlatformPlay will now handle entire sales of NLPCaptcha inventory which will be moved to the firm in a phased manner.

“Brands will now get video and other opportunities through Captcha which to me is the next big advertising solution when a consumer is most receptive,” said Rammohan Sundaram, CMD, PlatformPlay.

Launched in December 2011, NLPCaptcha introduced and popularized the Indian Digital fraternity about Captcha advertising. The company’s publisher network includes websites across genres like News, Jobs, Entertainment, E-Commerce, Classifieds etc. Their clientele include blue chip companies like Google, Visa, Volkswagen, Toyota, Maruti, Axis Bank, ICICI, SOTC, Lufthansa, Blackberry, HUL, P&G etc.

Amit Mittal, co-founder NLPCaptcha quoted "PlatformPlay would now be driving the monetization part of the business while we continue to focus on more innovative product offerings, driving the client side relationship and understanding their needs and expanding to new geographies.”

Launched in March this year, PlatformPlay is aggressively working to bring international brands to enter the Indian markets as well as helps the Indian brands to monetize their inventory in a much better and efficient way.

In May this year, it has partnered with AOL owned technology focused media portal, TechCrunch to bring its event series in India. A series of two-day conferences will be conducted starting with Bangalore in November of 2013, followed by Mumbai in April 2014 and culminating in New Delhi that August.
