MakeMyTrip’s Tech Director hired by Knimbus

Online search and collaboration platform for researchers, Knimbus has appointed Kunwar Asheesh Saxena as their Senior Vice President - Product Development and Engineering. Prior to his current profile, Kumar was working with MakeMyTrip as Director - Technology Development. Founded in 2011 by Rahul Agarwalla and Tarun Arora, Knimbus is a platform that connects creators and users of Scientific, Technical and Medical (STM) knowledge to online content and peer groups.

Asheesh brings with him over 14 years of experience in strategic planning, development and integration of enterprise systems. He has been responsible for setting up the technology roadmap and strategy for diverse business channels.

 At MakeMyTrip, Asheesh was the Technical Head for multiple lines of businesses such as Hotels, Bus, Rails, B2B and Affiliates. During this tenure he implemented solutions for high transactions sites in multi-data-centre distributed architecture with latest Big Data technologies like SOLR, Cassandra and many more.

 Knimbus claims that it is currently enabled in over 700 institutions/organizations and is being accessed by over 65,000 researchers at major Academic and Research institutions, such as the IITs, IISERs, CSIR Labs, CDOT, CDAC and various State and Central Universities.
