Interpublic Group is close to acquire digital marketing agency Interactive Avenues for an undisclosed amount, reports Business Standard. In 2010, Mediabrands, the media holding company of Interpublic Group, had made a 51:49 joint venture with Interactive Avenues to form Reprise Media. Interactive Avenues’ current acquisition is also expected to be bunched under Mediabrands.
Launched in 2006 by CEO Ratish Nair, Sequoia backed Interactive Avenues is a digital marketing agency doing online media buying, planning, creative work, search analytics and mobile marketing. It has offices in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore, with a little over 150 people in these locations. Its clientele include, big corporate giants like ITC, ICICI Banks, FedEx, Durex, Intel and ESPN among others.
Interpublic Group based out of New York is the fourth largest advertising network providing a total spectrum of marketing disciplines and specialties, from public relations and consumer advertising, to mobile and search engine marketing. Interpublic employs around 42,800 marketing professionals in over 100 countries and in 2011 had revenues of US $7 Bn.
