Gautam Sinha, Director, Technology and Ecommerce, Times Internet has been elevated to the position of Chief Operating Officer of the company, reports MediaNama. Gautam Sinha had assumed responsibilities on August 6 2012 and will report to Satyan Gajwani, CEO of Times Internet.

This development follows Satyan Gajwani taking over the role of TIL’s CEO after Rishi Khiani left the company. In July 2012, the company had appointed former iYogi executive Joy Basu as its Chief Financial Officer.

Sinha joined the company in 2007 as CTO, and has over 24 years of experience. Prior to Times Internet, he was the COO/CTO of CashEdge Inc. Prior to CashEdge, he held senior management positions at Sevant, Aspect Communications, at the Neural Applications Corporation, and at the Ministry of Defense in India (DRDO).
