BuzzCity, a global mobile advertising network, announced its advent in online advertising. From the first quarter of 2014, BuzzCity will also be offering online advertising across PCs and laptops, in addition to its already established mobile advertising platform.
BuzzCity claimed that this move is in response to the demand from media buyers and advertisers, as well as the growing consumer appetite for cross-device surfing.
Dr. K.F. Lai, BuzzCity Founder and CEO, said, “Cross-device surfing has now become the norm. Desktops and laptops remain and will continue to grow, alongside mobile, as part of the multi-device-world in which we live and work. Our experience of handling fragmented mobile devices makes the inclusion of PCs/ laptops relatively straightforward and is a natural next step for BuzzCity. We are excited about this new comprehensive offering which will have real benefits for our advertisers.”
A statement issued by the network said, "BuzzCity will continue to operate with a mobile-first approach as mobile continues to be the primary surfing device for consumers. With this new strategy, BuzzCity, already profitable, forecasts the desktop revenue will contribute an additional 20% growth to the business during 2014, in addition to its global mobile revenue which has been growing at the rate of 50% year-on-year."
