Social networking giant Facebook announced the revenue results for Q3 FY13. The reports showed an increase in the user base of the site across platforms.
Facebook reported 728 million on average for the quarter ending September 2013. This is an increase of 25 per cent, YoY. Monthly active users (MAUs) were 1.19 billion as of September 30, 2013, which is an increase of 18 per cent over the same quarter of last year. Mobile MAUs for Facebook were 874 million as of September 30, 2013. The mobile monthly active user base registered the maximum increase of 45 per cent, YoY. Mobile daily active users were 507 million on average for September 2013.
The growing user base is not only good news for Facebook but also for its investors. Now with Facebook being a public company, these increased figures will help keep the confidence of its investors intact.

Facebook reported advertising revenue of $1.8 billion, up 66 per cent from a year ago. Mobile ads made for 49 per cent of the company’s total ad revenue for the quarter.
Revenue for the third quarter of 2013 totaled $2.02 billion, an increase of 60 per cent, compared with $1.26 billion in the third quarter of 2012.
