Accentium Web, the company that runs Gaadi.com, SecondShaadi.com, AdLift.com has said that its education content portal StudyNation.com has been integrated into Taaza.com and will be Study.Taaza.com now onwards. According to the company, this development is in line with a strategic push to make Taaza.com one of the leading multi-vertical digital media properties in the country. The company has also launched a new homepage for Taaza.com in line with the positioning.
Taaza.com aims to be a new age horizontal with a combination of independently focused verticals that include Classifieds, Job Search, News, Travel and Finance. Movies and Shopping verticals will be launched in early 2012. Accentium is also helping incubate a couple of interesting models in the e-commerce space, by providing technology, marketing and strategic support as well as investing at the early stage in select companies.
Vivek Pahwa, Director, Accentium Web said, “The Indian internet market is largely segregated into three categories like media, classifieds and ecommerce. Classifieds is largely monetized offline in India at the moment, making a lot of the businesses hard to scale and unprofitable. We see a lot of opportunity in media as both the consumption of the internet as well as the media spends are set to grow. We also see a lot of opportunity in e-commerce, especially in high margin products, some of which will get integrated into Taaza.com in the coming months.”
