Group Buying Global and Harish Bahl, founder and CEO of Smile Interactive Technologies Group, have acquired daily deal portal WanaMo.com and launched it as DealsAndYou.com. Recently, Harish Bahl joined hands with Pearl Uppal, who had earlier left Yahoo India as director sales, to launch FashionAndYou.com, an online retail shop of luxury fashion goods.

Promoted by Klaus Hommels and Oliver Jung, Group Buying Global owns and manages group buying portals across four continents. Hommels has been involved in internet investments like Skype, Xing and Facebook, while Oliver Jung has invested in companies like Facebook, Xing, Netmoms.de, Brands4Friends.de and Nimbuzz.com.

WanaMo.com, which derives its name from the term ‘want more’, was launched by WanaMo Marketing as a deal-a-day website on the best things to do, eat, see, experience and buy in cities across India. The company was co-founded by Abhishek Shah and Sampad Swain in March 2010.
