Richa Bansal, the founder and former managing director of online jewellery portal, 21Diamonds.in has joined real estate portal, Housing.co.in as Chief Business Officer. It is to be noted that Rocket Internet has shut down the Indian operations of 21Diamonds.in in June this year.

Richa has worked with global VC firm, Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP) and led it into successful multi-million dollar real estate investments in India, and won deals for the firm with wise perception of opportunities in the consumer and infrastructure sectors. She has also worked with companies like Blackstone and Rocket Internet.

Mumbai based real estate portal, Housing.co.in has been on expansion spree and has expanded its operations in Chennai, Ghaziabad and Noida last month. The addition of Ghaziabad and Noida comes as a boost to Housing’s presence in the NCR constituency while Chennai is Housing’s South Indian debut city.

In June this year, Housing.co.in raised $2.5mn funding from Nexus Venture Partners. In March the company raised a second round of funding from former Network 18 CEO, Haresh Chawla. The amount remains undisclosed. In February this year, the startup has raised an undisclosed sum from a group of angel investors, led by Zishaan Hayath.
