Lifestyle services marketplace FindYahan raises angel round from Microsoft India MD

India MD  Karan Bajwa along with Parvesh
Bareja (Director, HeliosPacks), Sunjay Kapur (MD, Sona Koyo Steering), and
Amanpreet Bajaj (Ex Cofounder, Letsbuy.com), reports YourStory.

The undisclosed
amount will be used towards technology, team building and scaling up.

Started in early 2013, the company was founded
by Rachit Mathur and Snehil Khanor. Mathur claims to have over 4000 service
providers and over 1,00,000 registered users with 20,000+ leads generated.

“Our app has been the number one app on Google
play store in the business category,” Mathur told YourStory. The Play Store
estimates downloads to be between 1000-5000.

In India FindYahan
competes with players like Skillkindle, Skillhippo and Flexing It, none of whom
have a mobile app yet.

Talking of their
vision for the company, Mathur was quoted in the report as saying, “We are
working towards being the number one marketplace for services in India, a go-to
destination to find and hire reliable service providers locally.”
