After Cambridge Analytica, Facebook suspends AggregateIQ fearing another data leak
Facebook announced that it has suspended AggregateIQ, Canada based political consulting company after it was reported that AggregateIQ was business partners with Cambridge Analytica.
Facebook said in a statement issued by them on Saturday that AggregateIQ may have improperly received data from facebook users. The suspension would mean that AggregateIQ will have no access to facebook henceforth.
Whistleblowers say AggregateIQ worked on the campaign for Great Britain to exit the European Union.
AggregateIQ rebutted Facebook`s claim and said that it didnt have access to Facebook data and is not part of Cambridge Analytica or its parent company.
Cambridge Analytica is accused of possessing data from up to 87 million Facebook users and using it improperly to influence elections in USA.
