Nupur Sharma has decided to quit Cisco Systems as head marketing - brand strategy, advertising and digital. Sharma has been working in the organisation since the past 16 years. Her last day in the organisation will be June 15, reports afaqs.
Next month, Sharma will reportedly join Symantec. Afaqs reports, citing sources, that she will responsible for countrywide business and marketing requirements at Symantec. Based in Delhi, her role will involve special focus on digital and web marketing, along with brand strategy.
Sharma has spent a large part of her career at Cisco Systems working across various marketing and sales functions. She has held several important portfolios in the organisation as manager-public relations, head - integrated marketing communications, country lead - enterprise marketing and head of business development for public sector and defence verticals. She was appointed as head marketing, brand strategy and advertising in November 2007.
