Internet & Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) is organising a conference on online travel scheduled to be held on 2nd May 2008 at Hotel ITC Grand Central, Mumbai.
According to IAMAI, the online travel conference will delve on how to exploit the social networking and user-generated trend and engage consumers via a personalized, interactive approach. The conference will also touch upon the following concerns of the players in this arena:
• Get real-world advice on building a User Generated Content (UGC) roadmap
• How are consumers' behaving online?
• Demand generation by channel (online, offline, hybrid (online + retail), corporate, etc.)
• Educating customers to look for value and not just price
• Demand management without commoditizing the travel industry
• Is Search Engine Optimization an important part of customer acquisition?
• Is viral marketing and word of mouth an important part of the marketing mix?
• Are travel portals embracing the power of the peer-to-peer dynamic?
• Do you understand and utilize new concepts like RSS and podcasts?
