An exclusive digital association for the financial services space - BFSI Digital Stallions Forum has been launched by Paurush Sonkar. It aims at providing a common platform to Chief Marketing Officers and Digital Marketing teams of Financial Services companies to network discuss issues and challenges and meet industry leaders.
Sonkar is a Digital evangelist and he has been associated with Digital Marketing in the financial services space for close to a decade now.
Speaking on the intent behind starting the forum, Paurush said, “The financial services space is the 4th largest spender on display advertising online and 2nd largest spender on search engine marketing and yet it did not have an exclusive platform. It is this very need that has led to the formation of BFSI Digital Stallions Forum.”
The forum has a 10 point charter aimed at enhancing the way financial service companies in India manage their Digital Marketing. Under the aegis of the association, various activities like research specific to the BFSI sector, promotion of the concept of a DMO, organising training and knowledge enhancement platforms will be conducted.
“We are planning to conduct six roundtables in a year where 10-20 CMO’s of financial companies will participate and meet experts from digital media companies and learn more about effectively marketing their products,” he said.
The forum will have exclusive membership which is non-chargeable.
“We already have 14 companies as members that include Birla Sun Life Insurance, TATA AIG General Insurance, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank etc. The knowledge enhancement workshops that we will conduct will not be chargeable. In our roundtables, only one advertiser would be there so it would be a very niche affair,” Paurush added.
The member companies will be entitled to a range of benefits including the concept of a Digital Deal. The Digital Deal would allow members to avail of digital marketing services such as design, media, consulting, etc at special rates.
