India’s cycle sharing start up Mobycy introduces dockless bicycle sharing app
This allows users to get a bicycle in their locality, unlock it via QR Code and reach their short distance destination quickly.
Gurgaon-based Mobycy has become first in India to launch dockless bicycle sharing app. This allows users to get a bicycle in their locality, unlock it via QR Code and reach their short distance destination quickly.
This mobile app facilitates users to find out bike near you and drop off point for the same. It permits collect and drops a bike virtually anywhere. The company will charge Rs 10 for a single ride. Monthly subscription for two rides daily option is also available for users.
One can download this app from Google Play Store. It will soon be available on the App Store. After download Aadhaar authentication can be used to sign up. Users need to pay refundable deposit of Rs 999. Students need to deposit just Rs499.
“We are excited to announce that Mobycy is now live on Google Play Store. It presents users with a greener, healthier means of commute with complete last-mile connectivity, in the form of smart, dockless bikes,” Mobycy co-founder Akash Gupta was quoted as saying.
Mobycy is starting its service in other parts of country with a fleet of 5,000 “Smart Bikes”. The company intends to increase bike number to 50,000 in time to come.
The facility of smart bikes is available in Delhi-NCR region apart from Chandigarh. This green transport facility will be started around Amity University Noida and MDI Gurgaon to name a few.
It has association with Paytm for smooth digital payments. To ease digital payment further easy, it will forge association with other digital payment providers in time to come.
