Zynga and Mol launch Zynga Game Cards in six Asian countries including India

Social gaming company Zynga (developers of FarmVille) has tied up with MOL AccessPortal Berhad (MOL), one of Asia’s leading payment service providers to launch Zynga Game Cards which will allow players to pay for virtual goods on Zynga games. The cards are made available for purchase across 500,000 outlets in six Asian countries including Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

Social gaming company Zynga (developers of FarmVille) has tied up with MOL AccessPortal Berhad (MOL), one of Asia’s leading payment service providers to launch Zynga Game Cards which will allow players to pay for virtual goods on Zynga games. The cards are made available for purchase across 500,000 outlets in six Asian countries including Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. According to MOL, in India, the cards will be available at MOL affiliated cybercafes such as India’s Sify Cybercafes.

As part of the partnership, MOL will make Zynga Game Cards available in values of US$2, US$5 and US$10. Zynga Game Cards are available in different currency values, which will give players more choices for amounts they want to spend on virtual goods within the game and will be available for use across Zynga’s most popular games. MOL customers can now convert their existing MOLPoints virtual currency into Zynga Game Cards.
