Zapak launches gaming portal for kids; ties-up with Big B’s movie Bhoothnath

Online gaming company Zapak Digital Entertainment has launched ZapakKids.com, a gaming destination targeted at the age group below 14 years. This segment, according to Zapak, contributes almost 25 per cent of the traffic on Zapak.com. ZapakKids.com will offer a portfolio of over 70 games with edutainment, a virtual world for kids and kids specific community features.

ZapakKids.com will offer a portfolio of over 70 games with edutainment, a virtual world for kids and kids specific community features.

Zapak has also announced that its newly launched gaming portal for kids has tied-up with Amitabh Bachchan’s latest movie, Bhoothnath. As a part of the deal, ZapakKids.com has created a micro site which will host wallpapers and trailers of the movie along with the Bhooth Attack game and Bhoothnath Horror Mania contest. Zapak will also create and market gaming merchandise specially created around Bhoothnath.

Rohit Sharma, chief operating officer, Zapak Digital Entertainment, has said, “Kids aged 14 years and below constitute to over 25 per cent of Zapak users online also serving as the stickiest and the most loyal users on our site, this is definitely an area of focus for Zapak. Zapak Kids is a specially created segment to cater to this audience.”

“Bhoothnath presented us with an interesting opportunity to create gaming based merchandise around the movie. We believe these games will be well accepted by kids especially the Zapak Bucchki will recreate the Beyblades fad for the Indian Market,” Rohit Sharma has added.
