Yahoo India, ICC launch ICC World Cup 2011 website ICCEvents.Yahoo.com

Yahoo India and International Cricket Council (ICC) have jointly launched the official ICC World Cup 2011 website ICCEvents.Yahoo.com for cricket enthusiasts around the world. According to Yahoo, the website will offer live match updates, detailed match analysis, exclusive video content, engaging games and rewarding contests. It will also allow users to buy game tickets and ICC merchandise.

Prem Panicker, managing editor, Yahoo India, has said, “Cricket is the most passionately followed game in India and many countries around the world. Cricket fans can now catch all the excitement of the game on the ICC World Cup 2011 official website. ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 will be played in the 50 over a side or ODI (One Day International) format. The top 14 cricketing nations will participate to vie for the top spot. The event opener has India taking on Bangladesh at the Dhaka on February 19th, 2011 post an elaborately planned opening ceremony and the final will take place at Wankhade Stadium, Mumbai on April 2nd, 2011.
