Dubbed Shipdroid, the software-as-a-service logistics platform is touted to cover as many as 600 cities across India, reaching around 20,000 PIN codes.

As per a report on YourStory.com, Infibeam has been testing Shipdroid for the past three-four months and thousands of merchants all across India have already signed up for it. Merchants can choose from a variety of cost-based service plans depending on their needs, budget and products being sold. They can also choose from a variety of delivery commitment SLAs and mode of delivery.

Shipdroid will allow merchants to opt for surface, rail or air mode and alternatively they can opt for express delivery time or regular delivery time. The platform offers a one-stop shop of all logistics services—from automatic allocation of courier to dispatch to last mile delivery of packages.

According to Sachin Dalal, Co-founder and Head of Logistics Platform, Infibeam, the company plans to extend this platform to local sellers as well as those who wish to do three-hour delivery.

Infibeam is reportedly looking at an IPO and expects to garner around Rs 1,000 crore from the stock market by the end of this month.

Shipdroid will be quickly scaled to leverage Buildabazaar, an e-commerce enabler run by Infibeam that has over 30,000 sellers, which can easily be integrated into Shipdroid.
