Mumbai-based Webklipper Technologies, which
operates WebEngage, whish offers customer engagement tools for web
businesses, has said that the product, within an year of launch, has acquired 4400+
customers globally (as on 14th Nov, 2012).

The company has also launched a new notification
feature
WebEngage, which lets users do real-time interaction with customers. According
to the company, WebEngage is three products rolled into one – in-site feedback,
targeted surveys and push notifications.

“We have built this product with a vision
of offering a one stop solution to online businesses which acts as their
marketing/promotion tool (Notification) as well as, also helps them collect
real-time user insights and feedback (Survey and Feedback),” Avlesh Singh, Co-Founder
and CEO, WebEngage has said.

“One of the key reasons for our adoption
has been the ease of integration. We generate a JavaScript code upon sign-up.
This needs to go into the site one time (like GA code). Post that no more code
changes are needed on a customer’s website. All changes are driven by a
powerful dashboard,” added Singh.

WebEngage was launched in October 2011 by Avlesh
Singh and Ankit Utreja, who were a part of the startup team that built
Burrp.com – a company that later got acquired by Network18. WebEngage raised
its angel round in June, 2011 from Indian Angel Network and a seed round in
June, 2012 from GTI Capital and Blume Ventures. Google India’s MD, Rajan
Anandan, and GTI’s partner, Jonathan Schulhof sit on board of the company.

The product has other features that include
Survey, through which users can create a multi-question survey and choose to
display it ONLY to visitors they want. The other feature they have is Feedback mechanism
used in websites with features like automatic screengrab, dynamic
fields/categories etc.
