Titan launches light powered online campaign to promote HTSE range of watches

Titan Industries, which had recently launched HTSE (Hi-Tech
Self Energized) watches, which run on light, has launched TitanHTSE.com and a
Facebook application called ‘HTSE Wear a Watch’ on its Facebook page to bring

Facebook application called ‘HTSE Wear a Watch’ on its Facebook page to bring
out the product experience closer to the consumers. Maxus Digital has conceived
an idea that is extended on online, social and mobile that brings the product
experience in a more engaging way to the user and gets the consumer closer to
the product through augmented reality. Titan HTSE mobile application on iPhone
and Android is also being developed and is expected to be launched in few days.


The Facebook application  allows fans to go through the experience of
powering up the Facebook app by pointing a light source (like mobile flash
light, torch etc.) to their web-camera to get to see the HTSE collection. The
app also integrates augmented realty feature for the first time in India in the
Facebook platform where users can virtually place a HTSE collection of their
choice on their wrist, capture the picture and share the same with their
friends. Users who don’t have a web camera can play a game where they will need
to use fireflies to power up the HTSE.

Explaining the concept, Somprabh Singh, Senior Manager, Marketing, Titan, said, “The HTSE collection is targeted at the youth who seek style in technology. And to capture any mind space of the youth today requires a high level of engagement and there’s no place better than their mobile phones and social media to do that. This is why we created exclusive apps on Facebook, and mobile, which not only showcases the entire HTSE collection but also gives the user an opportunity to try out the watches virtually, hence creating engagement. The apps are first of its kind in the world and we are very proud of that.
