Titan Eye Plus launches online vision test tool Vision Check

Titan Eye Plus has launched Vision Check, a
new online facility where users can undergo a self-administered vision test. According
to the company, the test does not prescribe power but only detects any vision
defects. The company is planning to launch the vision check tests in vernacular
languages at a later stage. The test takes about five minutes for administering
and can be taken by anybody above the age of six years.

“With a user-friendly interface, Vision
Check includes a general screening test and accurately establishes the need for
vision correction for the participant, if required,” Bhaskar Bhat, Managing
Director of Titan Industries.

Ravi Kant, CEO of Titan Industries, Eyewear
Division, said, “Roughly one third of the population in the country need
vision correction and only 25-30% have taken the necessary steps. Others are
ignoring and living with the problem and many are not even aware of it. Through
Vision Check facility, we are making eye tests accessible to them.”
