Alive, the augmented
realty app by Times Internet Ltd introduces ‘AlivePIX’ – a Video Sharing
service. With ‘AlivePIX’, users can now experience augmented reality with their
videos, by creating augmented photos from their videos and share the hidden
memories behind each video with their friends and relatives.

To get started, the user has to download Alive app and shoot
a video or choose an existing one from their phone gallery. Then select a photo
from one of the frames in the video and customize it in various themes like
birthday, thankyou, sorry etc. The users can now share the augmented photo
hence created, on their social network, email it or even print & post it.
The receiver has to scan the shared photograph with ‘scan tab’ option in the
Alive app on his / her own smartphone. Photos come alive as user can watch the
complete video within the app that the sender had tagged it with the photo. AlivePIX
is at present available on Android and will be launched on iOS very soon.

Ajay Vaishnavi, Director – Telecom, Times Internet said,
“Alive is the most downloaded AR app in India. It is our constant endeavour to
enhance Alive by making it relevant to day to day use. With AlivePIX, mobile
app user of Alive can create his / her own augmented reality pictures and share
with near and dear ones in a new fun way. We are hopeful ‘PIXING’ will catch up
with Alive Users.”
