Times Internet partners with Onyomo to launch SMS-based local search service ASK

Times Internet Limited has partnered with Onyomo to launch a mobile value added service called ASK that offers information on local listings across various categories including ATMs, restaurants, cafes, flower shops and chemist, to mobile phone users. The service is available on SMS (58888) and WAP platform of Indiatimes.

To receive the details of a local listing, a user can send an ASK prefix followed by his query and the locality to 58888 or visit wap.indiatimes.com. For e.g., if the user is looking for a Levi’s showroom in Saket, Delhi, he can simply send ‘ASK Levis Saket’ as an SMS to 58888 and get the information in his inbox.
