Times Internet makes a 7-figure investment in US-based Fab.com

Times Internet has made a 7-figure investment in US-based
ecommerce firm Fab.com, according to the announcement made by Fab’s cofounder
and CEO Jason Goldberg. As part of this
investment, Fab will be working with Times Internet to explore and execute on
our India market strategy in the coming years.

investment, Fab will be working with Times Internet to explore and execute on
our India market strategy in the coming years.

The investment was fostered by Satyan Gajwani, Times
Internet Group CEO. “I have been working with Satyan for several months now and
he been super impressive with his approach to innovating and growing technology
businesses in India. I’m excited to work with him and his team as Fab explores
the India market further,” added Goldberg.

Fab has raised over $150 million from investors since it was
launched in June, 2011. In  November 2012,
Fab.com had acquired Pune-based technology venture True Sparrow Systems in a
cash-and-stock. Founded in Pune back in 2007, True Sparrow has been providing
the technology to Fab.com and co-founder Nishith Shah is also the Chief Technology
Officer of Fab. The amount of the cash-and-stock deal was undisclosed.
