The Express Group revamps e-paper versions of IE & FE; plans to charge for premium content

The Express Group has revamped the electronic paper (e-paper) versions of  The Indian Express and The Financial Express newspapers. The company claims that the new e-papers have several options for leveraging social media and has used Mediology Software’s digital edition platform which uses global distribution of the epaper.

Sanjeev Gera, business head, online, The Express Group, said, “We believe that internet is increasingly becoming the important source of information and with the revamp of our e-papers, we have eased the sharing of news on social media platforms. Currently the access to our online content is free of charge but soon we are planning to monetize by charging our premium and archival content.”
