US-based LivingSocial.com, which started as a set of applications on Facebook and other social networks that let users review movies, books, music, games, restaurants and beers, has raised more than $5 million in Series A funding led by Grotech Ventures and includes a personal investment from Steve and Jean Case.

LivingSocial was launched in February 2008. The company says it has 6.4 million members and so far has gathered nearly 80 million reviews. In coming months, LivingSocial plans to introduce additional product enhancements and new interest categories, further building its network to leverage users’ real world interests.

Recently, LivingSocial launched a set of websites based on these users and reviews. When a user posts a review on any of its social networking applications, or on one of its sites, that review is shared across all related social networking applications, reports VentureBeat.
