Snapdeal forays into premium designer-wear segment with launch of the Designer Studio

Online marketplace Snapdeal launched “The Designer Studio” in association with Fashion Design Council of India
(FDCI) – a mega endeavour to broaden its product assortment in the
fashion category which is growing at 30% MoM.

The Designer Studio is one of Snapdeal’s most ambitious Fashion launches
till date. The Designer Studio will not only include ready-to-wear and made-to-order
clothing collections but will also build consumer engagement by presenting the
complete achievement timeline of each participating designer.

Under this partnership, designers Manish Arora, MaliniRamani, Ashish N
Soni, Varun Bahl and Samant Chauhan will showcase an array of creations from
their labels on ‘the Designer Studio’. The prêt collections of these top
designers will be available on the website at prices ranging between Rs. 3,000 and
Rs. 35,000. The vivid bridal collections will be priced starting at Rs.2,00,000.

The Design Studio launch is in line with the company’s strategy to cross
a business of Rs.6000 crore from the fashion category by the next financial
year, as announced earlier this year.
