Smile Interactive, Scangroup, Quasar jointly launch Squad Digital in Africa

Quasar Media, a part of Smile Interactive Technology Group and WPP Digital, in association with Kenya-based marketing services company Scangroup, has launched Squad Digital, a specialist integrated digital marketing agency for the East and Central Africa market.

Kamal Krishna, former head of strategy and creative, Quasar, has been appointed as general manager to lead the development of Squad Digital.

Squad Digital plans to provide expert consultancy on all aspects of the digital marketing mix, including mobile marketing, digital advertising, online media buying, online reputation management, social media marketing, search engine optimization and marketing, and travel technology services. Using the technical expertise of Smile and Quasar, Squad Digital will also offer technology and software development of digital marketing applications.
