Saregama plans to offer an ala carte model of single song and subscription packages for bulk consumptions. Packages are likely to be priced between Rs 99 to Rs 999. According to the company, a highly-developed search will help the users to search according to their mood, theme, tempo and other granular searches for artiste and decade.

Apurv Nagpal, managing director, Saregama India, has said, “While Saregama’s popularity of Bollywood classics is unparallel and it enjoys a monopoly there, Saregama.com will also showcase the rich repertoire in Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Punjabi, Hindustani Classical, Carnatic, Devotional, Ghazals etc which are equally enviable.”

“As Saregama India is one of the founding members of PPL (Phonographic Performance Ltd) we also hope to have all the top 10 PPL members’ (Universal, Sony, Tips, Venus etc) catalogues on our site followed by other labels beyond the PPL community,” Apurv Nagpal has added.
