streaming service on its website. Owned by RPG Group, the label is offering
streaming service with a wide range of genres. Presently, users can access
music in categories like Malayalam, Punjabi folk music, instrumental tracks,
Marathi, Carnatic, Hindustani classical, Bengali Rabindra Sangeet, film hits,
devotional tracks and Hindi film classics.

Currently boasting of an ad free space, the service follows
a free subscription based model for users. Listeners also have the option of
buying the songs which are being played.

Saregama India business head music Adarsh Gupta said, “The
internet radio service is just an additional feature we have recently added on
our portal. We have just taken the music from our catalogue and made it
accessible to users as a streaming service.”

Also, company’s online music store, which was being tested
in beta in April 2012, has also gone live on its site.

Earlier in this year, Saregama India has acquired a 10% equity
stake in Timbre Media Ltd (company floated by former WorldSpace radio
employees) to provide variety of genre-based radio channels to the Indian
market.
