Property advisory firm Cushman and Wakefield (C&W) India and Saffronart.com, an online auctioneer for modern and contemporary Indian art and jewellery, have joined hands to launch an
online property portal that would allow high-networth individuals buy and sell luxury residential houses, priced at Rs 2-26 crore, in India.
According to Dinesh Vazirani, co-founder and CEO, Saffronart, the company decided to begin featuring homes after many art buyers, particularly the ones overseas, complained that the luxury property market in India is opaque and sought a more transparent and public way to buy high-value homes.
“These are aspirational homes targeted at high-networth individuals who can see them, visit and buy. There would be no price band but we select them based on unique features, prime locations or even heritage qualities,†Anurag Mathur, managing director, C&W India, has said. [Source: LiveMint]
