Mumbai-based digital advertising agency BC Web Wise has appointed Ranjan Nautiyal as creative director. Prior to joining BC Web Wise, Nautiyal was creative director at Ogilvy & Mather. He has also worked at Lowe, Contract, Euro RSCG and JWT. In his new role, Ranjan Nautiyal will spearhead BC Web Wise’s national creative strategy as well as foster the Delhi operations of the agency.

Rachel Enon, former digital marketing manager at Procter & Gamble has been appointed by BC Web Wise as brand consultant and media director. Enon has been working with Procter and Gamble India for 15 years. Some of her key responsibilities at P&G included providing digital marketing strategy and managing end-to-end digital marketing activities for various brands.

“As an agency we focus on making our offerings, the digital medium, more meaningful for the brand,” Chaya Brian Carvalho, CEO and MD, BC Web Wise, has told AlooTechie. “With Ranjan and Rachel we are bringing into our agency very experienced, highly talented and committed professionals. Their exposure from the ‘outside’ world matched with the passion for the ‘digital’ world could be the right stimuli for us to play our part.”

When asked what made him switch from an offline agency to an online agency, Ranjan Nautiyal said, “I moved from offline to digital because the former explores creative ways to deliver in some set formats, the digital is opening up the means to communicate with the consumer in ways we never imagined. The fact that nothing is defined or set along with the fact that you partner your consumer gives me great thrill.”

Commenting on her switch from the client side to agency side, Rachel Enon said, “I moved from client side to agency side because client side has limited ways to explore digital in terms of strategy, digital media exploration as well as brands, whereas agency side opens up a gamut of clients and digital activities to work on. It provides a means to explore and work on wider brands and concepts.”

Ranjan Nautiyal further said that while working at BC Web Wise he plans to bring in strategy-led creatives that fit the brand message and speak in its language. According to Rachel Enon, she will work towards providing the clients the best possible media strategy beneficial for their brands; strategies that are consumer-centric and closer to bringing out the brand objectives in the best possible manner.
