Rammohan Sundaram exits NetworkPlay; Ampreet Singh to be the new CEO

Rammohan Sundaram, CEO and Founder of digital
advertising network NetworkPlay has decided to exit the company. Gruner + Jahr (G+J), the company which owns NetworkPlay, has
appointed Ampreet Singh as the CEO with immediate effect. Ram will continue to
be Advisor to the NetworkPlay Board and also continue to be the Chairman for
ad:tech India. According to our sources, Sundaram is starting up once again.

Rammohan Sundaram, CEO and Founder of digital
advertising network NetworkPlay has decided to exit the company. Gruner + Jahr (G+J), the company which owns NetworkPlay, has
appointed Ampreet Singh as the CEO with immediate effect. Ram will continue to
be Advisor to the NetworkPlay Board and also continue to be the Chairman for
ad:tech India. According to our sources, Sundaram is starting up once again.

Sundaram and his team have built up and
grown NetworkPlay successfully since its incubation in 2008. In March 2012,
G+J, the publishing division of European media conglomerate Bertelsmann AG, had
acquired a majority stake in NetworkPlay, India’s fastest growing digital ad
network with presence on internet, mobile, event and DTH platforms. Last week, Gruner
+ Jahr had acquired Smile Vun Group backed SeventyNine and made a part of NetworkPlay.

Rammohan Sundaram hands over as CEO of NetworkPlay
to Ampreet Singh who has been with NetworkPlay since it’s early days. Before
becoming a co-founder of NetworkPlay, Singh worked with Nokia Interactive Advertising,
Yahoo India, Tribal DDB in leadership positions and is an expert in the digital
space. In his new role as CEO, Singh will be responsible for the overall
strategy and direction of NetworkPlay’s business. Singh will continue his
current duties as Vice President Distribution and Client Servicing and
Production Director of Ad:Tech India at NetworkPlay in addition to his new
role.
