Quikr ropes in actors Ranveer Singh and Suriya as brand ambassadors

actor was selected by Quikr as he represents the aspirations of modern India.
This move is in line with Quikr’s new brand positioning of “Aasan hai badalna” and how change is

success. Ranveer will be seen in Quikr’s upcoming advertising campaign which is
due to be launched later this month.

has also signed on national award winning actor Suriya as brand ambassador for
the South Indian market.

Quikr
has been a pioneer in the online classifieds industry since the company’s
inception in 2008. Currently the market leader in the online classifieds space,
the company was first to bring product innovations such as the Missed Call
service for new users, Maximum Selling Price (MSP) to help users get the best
price range for their goods. The company’s most recent product innovation was
Quikr Nxt which was launched in January this year. The new feature allows users
to keep their email ID and phone number private and use Quikr’s website or
mobile app to chat with potential buyers and sellers. The company recently
launched Quikr’s new brand identity which symbolises its successful journey in
leading and shaping the online classified industry in India.

Recently,
Kinnevik acquired an additional $20 million stake in online classifieds
website Quikr through a secondary share purchase that values the
company at $900 million. 

Earlier
this year, Quikr was valued at $1 billion in an index of venture-backed
private companies that includes tech unicorns like Flipkart, Ola Cabs, InMobi,
Snapdeal, One97 Communications and Zomato Media.
