Interactive agency Quasar Media in association with a non-governmental organisation Plan India has launched HelpBihar.in , an online viral campaign that seeks to help the flood victims of Bihar. According to Quasar, the viral shows how one can contribute or donate without actually spending anything or being physically present by spending 60 seconds of one’s time.

HelpBihar.in has four questions which the user has to answer. The questions are — what is the capital of Bihar; which river has caused havoc in Bihar recently; how many people have been affected by the recent floods in Bihar; and what is the opposite of word ‘flood’? For each correct answer partnering sponsors like Godrej and Chevrolet will donate a biscuit, candle or soap to the flood victims, Quasar has said.

Quasar Media claims that the viral, which was launched on 12 September 2008, has already been forwarded to more than ten lakh people. The company also claims that about one lakh unique users played the game within 48 hours of the launch, with overall unique engagements reaching 2,25,000. According to Quasar, the figure keeps rising with close to 1500 people playing the game each hour.
