Preetesh Chouhan calls it quits, to start his own venture

Preetesh Chouhan, Senior vice-president(APAC), Vdopia Media and Software Solutions Pvt Ltd., has put in his papers, reports VCCircle. Chouhan was responsible for the adtech company’s expansion in South East Asia, fuelling overall growth, both organic and inorganic.

Of late Vdopia has been increasing its focus on the US market and this could be the reason behind Chouhan’s exit. Vdopia Inc is headquartered in Silicon Valley, in the US.

Of late Vdopia has been increasing its focus on the US market and this could be the reason behind Chouhan’s exit. Vdopia Inc is headquartered in Silicon Valley, in the US.

Chouhan is looking to start his own startup – a mobile design lab by next month itself. He is serving notice period at Vdopia and March is his last month at the company. He will soon be re-locating to Bangalore. Chouhan spent close to four years in Vopia, joined in 2012 as vice-president and sales head for APAC region.

Prior to joining Vdopia, Chouhan was national head, ad sales at SIFY Technologies Pvt Ltd. Chouhan started his career as a senior account executive at indiainfo.com and has worked in several companies including Indya.com Portal Pvt Ltd, and AOL LLC.

Set up in 2008 by Stanford and IIT graduates Chhavi Upadhyay,Srikanth Kakani and Saurabh Bhatia, Vdopia has offices in Mumbai and Gurgaon (Delhi NCR) in India. It raised $4 million from Nexus Venture Partners in October 2009. The Bangalore-based fund had als infused an undisclosed seed amount into the firm in December 2008. Vdopia also raised more in its Series B funding round four years ago, adds the report.
