Pepsi has joined hands with Indian blogging community IndiBlogger.in to support its blogging contest ‘Youngistaan Ka Wow! IndiBlogger of the Month’ for April 2010. ‘IndiBlogger of the Month’ is a monthly contest where the IndiBlogger community chooses a topic, and then nominates and select the winners. This month’s contest is expected to create an online buzz for Pepsi’s own campaign Youngistaan Ka Wow!
The blogging contest will be rolled out in three phases over the span of a month. “The first phase will be the nomination phase where bloggers can nominate five of their original posts out of which the one post should answer the question, ‘If you were the game master, what challenge would you like to throw to Ranbir?’ Posts answering this question will be eligible for a cash prize of Rs 30,000,†according to Anoop Johnson, director, marketing, IndiBlogger.in.
“The second phase will last for one week and will see contestants getting votes from their fellow bloggers and the final phase will decide the winner who will be crowned,†Anoop Johnson has told AlooTechie. According to Johnson, about 40 bloggers have already nominated a total of 200 blog posts for the contest since its launch on April 6, 2010.
“The idea is to give interested bloggers a platform to showcase some of their best work. We have already received some very creative content and there is a lot of work being put in by the bloggers. We would like more of these different niches to benefit,†Anoop Johnson has added.
