    • Under the programme called Paytm Force,
      some 3,000 executives–trained and certified e-commerce specialists–will
provide end-to end services that include catalogue creation, order fulfillment,
complete account management and query resolution, the company said in a
      statement.

    • These volunteers will be available at the
sellers’ doorstep on a preferred date and time to provide services at a
      subsidized rate.

    • “We ran pilots in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru and it proved
fruitful for the sellers. It also creates a job opportunity for the executives
who are part of Paytm Force, as they would charge a fee for assisting
sellers,” said Sudhanshu Gupta, AVP, business at Paytm.

    • Paytm, backed by Chinese e-commerce giant
Alibaba, also has a loan facilitation programme for its sellers, for which it
is borrowing Rs 150 crore from financial institutions.

    • “Selling offline and online are poles
apart. Sellers need a lot of handholding on the intricacies of selling on an
      online marketplace,” Gupta said.
