PayTM organizes 12.12 Festival to promote digital payment

Large organised stores, supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacy stores, petrol pumps and milk-booths are among others who are part of 5 million offline merchants of Paytm.

PayTM, an Indian electronic payment and e-commerce brand, organised the second edition of its much awaited 12/12 Festival’ on December 12 to promote digital payment in the country.

The festival would help offline retailers who accept Paytm, to fetch greater sales as 12.12 Festival sale is offering discounts on various food and fashion outlets and variety of deals and cashback of up to 50 per cent on payments made through Paytm, around the country.

Large organised stores, supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacy stores, petrol pumps and milk-booths are among others who are part of 5 million offline merchants of Paytm.

“During this period, customers will get great offers when they pay at brands using Paytm. These are stores that use POS (point of sale) systems and QR code to collect the payment, and are registered as businesses on Paytm,” reads a statement issued by the Paytm.

Stores that use their phone number to collect payment are not covered under this.

“Discounts/Cashbacks offered by merchant-partner(s) are at the sole-discretion of the partner(s) and PAYTM has no responsibility, whatsoever. They are governed by the rules laid down by merchant-partner(s),” it added.

Cashback wherever offered by merchant-partner(s) shall be credited directly to the users paytm wallet within 48 hours of purchase.

Offers are valid for one user per transaction and are applicable in specific cities/stores.
