Nimbus Communication, which owns media rights for all international and domestic cricket controlled by BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) and to be played in India till March 31, 2010, has launched CricketNirvana.com, which will offer live streaming of cricket matches with claims to match the TV experience on the Net.

Nimbus Communication expects to clock a turnover of Rs 50 crore in the next two to three years of operation through the cricket portal. “We would follow a subscription model under which some content would be offered for free. On the other hand, we will mark some content as premium and charge a subscription fee for access. However, the subscription could be as low as Rs 25,” Sumit Luthra, business head, new media, Nimbus Communications, has said. [Source: Economic Times, ContentSutra]
