NetworkPlay partners with DMG Events to bring ad:tech in India

New Delhi-based NetworkPlay Media has partnered with UK-based DMG Events to bring digital marketing, media and advertising event ad:tech in India. Delhi NCR will be the first city in India to host the event on April 27-28, 2011 at Kempinski Hotel in Gurgaon.

New Delhi-based NetworkPlay Media has partnered with UK-based DMG Events to bring digital marketing, media and advertising event ad:tech in India. Delhi NCR will be the first city in India to host the event on April 27-28, 2011 at Kempinski Hotel in Gurgaon. The event is expected to bring together brand advertisers, traditional and interactive agencies, portals, online publishers and technology providers and help them share, network, learn and do business.

Paul Beckley, vice president, technology group, Asia, ad:tech, has said, “India is an evolving and growing market in the digital sphere and it is our pleasure to join hands with NetworkPlay to bring what will be best in class conference and exposition.”

Rammohan Sundaram, event chairman, ad:tech India and CEO, NetworkPlay, has said, “Our objective has always been to ensure acceleration in the digital medium whether the touch points are through web, mobile, DTH or research. With this association we enter the event space that will drive tremendous growth to the industry through various learnings that will get highlighted through the conferences and key note sessions.”

According to NetworkPlay, India’s demographics provide ample reason to get excited about the internet market’s potential for stellar growth. A World Bank study shows every 10 percentage point increase in broadband penetration leads to a 1.38 percentage point increase in per-capita gross domestic product growth in developing economies.

According to PwC Entertainment and Media Outlook 2010 report, with increased internet usage, internet advertising is projected to grow by over 20 per cent over the next five years. As the online India grows, advertisers are becoming aware of internet’s broad influence and ability to create an opportunity to inform/engage the audience.
