Naukri.com preferred by 42% of internet users in India: Survey

According to a report by online research and consultancy firm JuxtConsult, Naukri.com, a job portal owned by Info Edge India, has gained a user share of 5 per cent and is preferred by 42 per cent of the internet users in India, as compared with Monster.com which is preferred by 25 per cent of internet users, and Timesjobs.com by 16 per cent.

According to a report by online research and consultancy firm JuxtConsult, Naukri.com, a job portal owned by Info Edge India, has gained a user share of 5 per cent and is preferred by 42 per cent of the internet users in India, as compared with Monster.com which is preferred by 25 per cent of internet users, and Timesjobs.com by 16 per cent.

Hitesh Oberoi, COO, Info Edge India, has said, “Earlier this year, we revamped Naukri.com to improve the user experience on the site by adding and improving the search and job alert capabilities. The revamp has resulted in a 100 per cent increase in job applications.”

The India Online 2008 survey report by JuxtConsult also reveals that real estate portal 99acres.com and matrimony site Jeevansathi.com, both owned by Info Edge India, have gained user share in their respective verticals. While 99acres.com has gained 4 per cent user share at 14 per cent share of users, Jeevansathi.com has grown by 3 per cent at 8 per cent of the total users share.

“We differentiate our sites to provide unique offerings to our users backed by robust products and technology. The trust of our users is vindicated by the results of the survey,” Hitesh Oberoi of Info Edge India, has added.
