Nanhi Kali, a non-profit project managed jointly by KC Mahindra Education Trust and Naandi Foundation to help underprivileged girls in India complete their primary education, has launched a virtual guide at GirlSmiles.org to create awareness about Nanhi Kali and build a community of individuals who want to be affiliated with the project.

“Most non-profits are stuck in the traditional advertising age, spending precious money to buy media. We thought in the age of Google, Facebook and Flickr there must be a better, smarter way,” Sheetal Mehta, executive director, Nanhi Kali, has said. “We created a virtual girl named Shreya. When you type in GirlSmiles.org, Shreya comes to life on your screen and guides you through the internet in a simple, human way.”
