MySpace streams Coldplay latest album ‘Viva la Vida’

Social networking site MySpace has said its users in India can listen to the new Coldplay album ‘Viva la Vida’ through the bands MySpace profile at MySpace.com/Coldplay, even before the official worldwide release scheduled on 17th June 2008. Coldplay is an alternative rock band which was formed in London in 1997 and is believed to have sold over 30 million albums till date.

MySpace Music allows bands to share music and videos, announce tour dates and communicate with fans and others in the MySpace community, seamlessly integrating the web into shared online and offline experiences. The platform had earlier provided a launch pad for exclusive, high profile album releases including T-Pain, The Used, Timbaland, Modest Mouse and The Shins. MySpace claims to have more than eight million bands using the site.
