    • The start-up will alone handle the lakhs of calls and messages the
programme is expected to generate every month. Within 24 hours of being put in
the public domain on Sunday, the toll-free number managed by MyOperator had
      received over 12,000 calls.
    •
    • “We expect call flow to range in lakhs per month. While the number
is hosted on our platform, the screening of messages will be done by a
government-appointed team,” said Ankit Jain, co-founder and CEO of Voice
Tree Technologies, which runs the MyOperator telephony platform for start-ups.
    •
    • “This will be a pilot phase for the toll-free platform,” said
Jain, a B.Tech from Birla Institute of Technology. He was joined by his younger
brother – a chartered accountant by profession. Together they scaled up the
business to over Rs 3.5-crore in turnover in financial year 2014-15.
    •
    • Until now, the prime minister had been accepting questions from the
public through Twitter or the portal MyGov.in.
    •
    • “Internet penetration is still not high enough in India. A
toll-free number will become one of the most preferred ways of interacting with
the Prime Minister’s Office,” Jain added.
