    • “Cumulative
      research indicates that online platforms will occupy 15-20 percent of the total
      spend of the Indian economy by 2020. Our tie ups with category leaders such as
      OYO Rooms and Zomato positions us well to leverage that wave,” said MobiKwik
      CEO Bipin Preet Singh.

    • OYO has
      10,000 plus rooms in 1,000 partner hotels, across 45 plus cities in India, and
      aims to expand to 2,000 hotels in 45 cities by the year-end.

    • MobiKwik
      also mentioned that it is creating an offline retail network of more than
      100,000 merchants across India that will serve both, as points for cash loading
      into the wallet and for wallet payments acceptance.

    • Just
      recently, MobiKwik had announced its tie up with four online groceries players
      to aid its 25 million consumers to make payments more conveniently.

    • “Now
      users can start paying for their grocery purchases at Grofers, BigBasket,
      MeraGrocer, and GrocerMax using MobiKwik wallet. Most MobiKwik users make 10
      purchases every month using their wallet balance across diverse use cases such
      as recharge, bill payments, food, travel & cabs, shopping, and
      entertainment,” MobiKwik had said in a release.

    • MobiKwik has so far raised close to $30 million in funding from
      Sequoia Capital, American Express, Tree Line Asia, and Cisco Investments. The
      company plans to raise another $50-$100 million in 2015.
