Mid-Day Infomedia has promoted Niranjan Vidyasagar as head of digital business. Vidyasagar had joined Mid-Day in August 2005. Most recently, he was sales head, advertising revenues for Mid-Day.com. He takes charge from Nirvan Biswas. In his new role, Vidyasagar will report to Manajit Ghoshal, CEO and MD, Mid-Day.

Mid-day.com claims to get 15 million page views from 2.1 million unique visitors a month. Mid-Day news feeds on mobile phones are said to have over 2.5 lakh subscribers across India. According to Niranjan Vidyasagar, Mid-Day.com recently experimented with an innovation for Sony Pictures with a video road block and a webisode series for Balaji Telefilms and got a great response.

Apart from the home page, the second most visited section on Mid-Day.com is Entertainment which covers news from Bollywood, Hollywood and the TV industry, followed by the Sex and Relationship section,â€ said Niranjan Vidyasagar.
