Meebo.com, which allows users of different instant messaging services such as Yahoo, MSN and Google Talk to interact with each other, has launched Meebo Community Instant Messaging service that would enable online communities to offer instant messaging service to their users.

Meebo has, so far, partnered with eight online communities — DanceJam, Flixster, myYearbook, Nickelodeon’s AddictingGames, Piczo, SparkArt, Sugar Publishing and Tagged — to enable their users interact with each other.

According to Meebo, users of one partner online community will be able to chat with friends from their online community or from other partner online communities. They will also be able to connect with their friends on IM networks, such as Yahoo, MSN and Google Talk, through the Meebo servers. [Source: TechCrunch]
