Media agency MediaCom bags Rs 30 crore MakeMyTrip.com account

Following a multi-agency pitch, media agency MediaCom has bagged the media duties of online travel company MakeMyTrip.com. MediaCom will focus on MakeMyTrip’s communication strategy and marketing plans. The account is believed to be worth Rs 30 crore and has been moved from Starcom, which had been handling MakeMyTrip’s media duties for the last 5 years.

MediaCom will focus on MakeMyTrip’s communication strategy and marketing plans. The account is believed to be worth Rs 30 crore and has been moved from Starcom, which had been handling MakeMyTrip’s media duties for the last 5 years.

Commenting on the move, Mohit Gupta, chief marketing officer, offline marketing, MakeMyTrip said, “After a hugely successful 2010 when MakeMyTrip established its leadership position in India, we are now embarking on an ambitious growth plan for 2011.
